Be at the forefront of growing our company in the Power Providers Segment.

Share responsibility for planning and executing sales strategies to drive business growth in strategic Industries such as Renewable Energy, Conventional Generation, Emerging Technologies, and Grid Modernization.

This role will be designated in our business traveler work schedule. We are committed to providing a healthy, safe and flexible work environment for all professionals while helping them remain productive and connected. Our business traveler work schedule includes BV professionals who travel consistently 60% or more of their work schedule and provide flexibility around being in an office location.

Days during travel weeks that are non-travel days, professionals may work in the office or at a remote location.

On non-travel work weeks, professionals may work in a BVoffice location 3 days a week and in a remote location 2 days a week.

Professional must be located in Michigan, Indiana, or Kentucky.

The TeamBlack & Veatch’s Power Providers focuses on the holistic demands for energy generation markets that include utilities, independent power producers and new non-traditional entrants adding to the much-needed supply of secure, clean power to our industries and communities. Develops and executes strategic account plans for targeted clients to meet or exceed New Business goals. Assesses the success of strategic account plans on a quarterly basis and revises as needed to ensure New Business targets are met.

Initiates, maintains, and cultivates strategic relationships relative to the sector's client base. Determines personnel within client organization to cultivate relationships with to win new business/maintain existing relationships; makes recommendations as to what projects to pursue based on client needs.

Works collaboratively with the team to ensure sales efforts are executed successfully. carried out to execute the strategic account plans leading to new projects and increased scope of work for existing projects

Attend trade shows, conferences, and special events to foster relationships.

Collaborate with team through the proposal process: assisting in the evaluation and pricing process to win new business opportunities; participates on team to present proposals to division management and the Proposal Review Boards

Develop prospect screening summaries and win strategies for new prospects.

Works with Project Managers and division staff to address significant changes to the contract and/or scope of services. Ensures customer satisfaction on current projects; follows up with clients to address concerns or issues and communicates those to management

Participates in Client Satisfaction Program to continue to implement improvements or changes needed based on survey results.

Updates and tracks all clients and opportunities in client database (Salesforce)

Manages marketing budget allotted for travel, attending trade shows, conferences, and events.

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years of experience in selling engineering, procurement, and construction services in the Power Industry)

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business development, engineering or construction related field. Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans that drove business growth

Experience selling and/or executing projects using a phase-gated approach (FEL, FEED, Detailed Design, Construction)

Experience cultivating and maintaining client relationships

Experience as a sales professional, knowledge of B2B selling principles, and the ability to understand the challenges sales team encounter

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly, and to convert technical or complex information and concepts into easily understandable content

Experience using Salesforce

Experience negotiating Terms & Conditions for engineering, procurement, and construction contracts

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree. Ability to learn technical concepts is mandatory. 7 years experience in the energy industry. Complete all training requirements throughout the program.
